Message to 5th Ward

The City of Rochester will soon become the 4th city of the First Class in Minnesota based on our population.  This is a testament to the vitality, growth and achievements of our city.  News on the economic front is also looking up, but not everyone has shared equally in the good fortune.  While many of our friends and neighbors struggle, it’s hard to be mindful of the big picture while worried about the immediate needs of our families.

These are the times a community looks to its leaders to find meaningful solutions to basic problems – a safe community, proper roads, clean drinking water, and good schools.  The challenge for local government is to provide needed services economically.

I ran for 5th Ward on the City Council because I believe our community can build on our successes to become even stronger.  But to realize our potential we must have thoughtful, reasoned leadership willing to make tough decisions.  My passion combined with relevant experience ideally suits me to provide exactly the kind of leadership people of the 5th ward need – and most importantly, can depend on.

Together we can meet the challenges but it will take cooperation, commitment, and reasoned leadership – skills I can offer.  Please join me as we work toward building an even better Rochester.

Sincerely,
